If you'd told me years ago that I'd continue learning long after I finished medical school, I would've laughed. I went to medical school, earned my MD, and like most of my classmates, was expected to go straight into residency. But somewhere along the way, I realized that the traditional path didn't seem like the right fit for me. While I loved medicine, I wasn't in love with the idea of practicing as a physician. Thoughts of what to do next often kept me up at night until I came across my first role.

My first role out of med school was as a medical editor at a health agency, a position that turned out to be pivotal in shaping my career path. Editing taught me how to make science not just accurate, but also engaging. That experience opened the door to medical writing where I started learning promotional writing - blending strategy, creativity, and science to reach healthcare professionals and patients in meaningful ways. Over time, I found myself drawn to the educational side of things and really missed the intellectually engaging content in medical school, which led me to enroll in your Write CME Pro Accelerator program. It's one of the best investments I've made in my professional growth. That said, I still take on projects as a medical copywriter for health agencies but CME is what I am most passionate about.

Today, I like to think myself as a MD-turned-writer who translates complex science into content that's clear and concise, and connects with clinicians and patients alike. I may not have taken the traditional path through residency, but every step of my journey has brought me closer to where I'm meant to be.
