Dean Beals

Dean Beals Profile Photo

Dean founded DKBmed in 2002 and has worked in CME for more than 20 years. He has partnered with some of the country’s leading providers and healthcare systems (Johns Hopkins, Cleveland Clinic, Mass General Brigham, Xijing Hospital) to create world-class continuing medical education for a wide range of clinicians. Dean specializes in bringing new adult learning methodologies to the CME landscape and was an early adopter of using real patients in education, working with community groups (Black barbers, churches, formerly incarcerated individuals) to engage ‘hard to reach’ populations, and developing quality improvement programs in pain management, influenza, diabetes, and other topics.
Under Dean’s leadership, DKBmed has received multiple grants from the Opioid REMS program committee on behalf of the FDA to help stem the tide of the opioid epidemic. Dean has been published in numerous journals and has presented at multiple industry Dean is the current president of GAME and is also a member of the Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions (ACEHP), The National Association of Medical Education Companies (NAMEC), and the CME Coalition. Finally, Dean has won numerous awards from ACEHP and NAMEC, including the Brian P. Russell Exemplary CME Professional Award.
